Basketball Game Preview: Farmington Falcons vs. North Farmington Raiders

Farmington hasn't had much luck against North Farmington recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Farmington Falcons will take on the North Farmington Raiders in a tournament on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Farmington saw some tournament action on Monday. They strolled past Franklin with points to spare, taking the game 63-49. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Patriots are ranked 338th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, North Farmington posted their biggest win since December 28, 2024 last Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 55-35 margin over Mumford. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Farmington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points over those games. North Farmington pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Farmington came up short against North Farmington when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 46-41. Can Farmington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
