Volleyball Recap: Southwick Regional Takes a Loss

After a string of three wins, Southwick Regional's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Marlborough Panthers by a score of 3-2.

Southwick Regional wouldn't go down easily and took Marlborough into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 21-25, 19-25, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Southwick Regional still got an impressive performance from Max Salvador, who had 28 digs and three assists. Salvador is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Tyce Wilson also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Southwick Regional's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Marlborough, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

Southwick Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marlborough, they are taking a road trip to square off against Wayland at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
