Basketball Recap: Whitehall Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Whitehall can now relate to. They were dealt an 80-38 defeat at the hands of the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Railroaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 53rd).

Whitehall's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Berne-Knox-Westerlo, the win keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

Whitehall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Berne-Knox-Westerlo, they will take on North Warren Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Berne-Knox-Westerlo's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
