Baseball Recap: Beulah Gets the Win

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Beulah ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They walked away with a 12-7 win over the Reeltown Rebels. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Braydon Tapley made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Tapley was also big at the plate, going 3-for-6 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Troy Toungett, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kason Kalla, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

The victory got Beulah back to even at 1-1. As for Reeltown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Beulah will square off against Lanett at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Reeltown, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Dadeville at 4:30 p.m.
