Soccer Recap: Ashland Takes a Loss

Ashland lost against Katahdin back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hornets came up short against the Cougars, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Ashland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine soccer rankings (they are ranked 57th, while Katahdin are ranked ninth).

This is the second loss in a row for Ashland and nudges their season record down to 4-5-1. As for Katahdin, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.

Coincidentally, Ashland and Katahdin will both be playing Van Buren the next time they take the pitch. The Cougars will head out to face the Crusaders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Hornets will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
