Softball Recap: Waccamaw Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Waccamaw can now relate to. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loris Lions on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-3 defeat two weeks ago.

Waccamaw has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Loris, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-11-1.

Waccamaw does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loris, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 defeat against Aynor on the 16th.
