Wheeling has gone 7-2 against Hoffman Estates recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wildcats will head out to face off against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Wheeling will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Buffalo Grove, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Bison on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Wheeling had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-14, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Hoffman Estates posted their closest victory since May 14, 2025 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Elk Grove 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Grenadiers: they've now won five in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Hoffman Estates got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-15, 23-25, 25-18.

Wheeling's victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Hoffman Estates, the win was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 9-13.

Wheeling came out on top in a nail-biter against Hoffman Estates in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
