Football Preview: Waitsburg Cardinals vs. Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves        
        
		
             The Waitsburg Cardinals will head out to  square off against the Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Waitsburg's favor is that they have posted at least 31  points  in their last three games.
 Last Friday, Waitsburg was fully in charge, breezing past Dayton 54-22 at home. The  contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  46-8.
 Waitsburg's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Isa Reyes, who rushed for 186 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, and   Koyen Fortune, who rushed for 41 yards and two touchdowns. Reyes really tore up the turf  during one magnificent 70-yard run.
 Waitsburg wouldn't let Dayton keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles.  JJ Gleason led the group effort, picking up two of those  forced fumbles all by himself.  Jarod Hankins was another major factor on D,  picking up  three  sacks and making 15 total tackles.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Waitsburg was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 281  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Tekoa-Rosalia was able to grind out a solid  victory over St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse on Saturday, taking the game  18-6. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Timberwolves.
 Waitsburg's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Tekoa-Rosalia, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
 Everything came up roses for Waitsburg against Tekoa-Rosalia when the teams last played  back in September of 2023, as the  squad secured  a  70-12 win. Does  Waitsburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tekoa-Rosalia turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
