Carterville has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Pinckneyville Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carterville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Carterville can now show off 19 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They blew past Waltonville 7-0.
Amayah Doyle was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Rushing, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Pinckneyville was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They lost 9-2 to Johnston City.
Carterville's win was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-1. As for Pinckneyville, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.
