It's playoff time, and Big Bear had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Valley Torah Wolfpack 70-67. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since December 30, 2024.

Big Bear's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aiden Brewer, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards. Brewer has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 23 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kyle Rice, who posted 14 points and four steals.

Big Bear smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matches.

Big Bear has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points over those games. As for Valley Torah, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.
