Saunders Trades & Tech waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Gorton Wolves as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.
While Saunders Trades & Tech won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-23, 25-12.
Gorton's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Ramirez, who had 14 digs and two assists. Another player making a difference was Katie Rojas, who had eight digs and five kills.
Saunders Trades & Tech's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Gorton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.
