Softball Game Preview: Ida Baker Bulldogs vs. DeSoto County Bulldogs

Ida Baker will take on DeSoto County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Ida Baker turned things around against Oasis on Monday. They put the hurt on the Sharks with a sharp 13-2 win. The contest marked the Bulldogs' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, DeSoto County waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. 15 seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Emery Skinner, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in February. Ellie Whidden was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Ida Baker's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for DeSoto County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Everything went Ida Baker's way against DeSoto County when the teams last played back in February of 2015, as Ida Baker made off with a 16-6 win. Will Ida Baker repeat their success, or does DeSoto County has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
