Williamsville had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Lanphier on Thursday. The Bullets blew past the Lions 9-1. The Bullets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by eight runs or more this season.

Williamsville's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lanphier, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
