Volleyball Recap: Maricopa Comes Up Short

Maricopa lost against Coastal Christian back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indians lost 3-0 to the Conquerors.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-1, 25-5, 25-4.

Emma Mefford went supernova For Coastal Christian., getting 14 aces. Those 14 aces gave Mefford a new career-high. Montana Fischer also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Maricopa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Coastal Christian, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Maricopa is set to take on their familiar foe San Luis Obispo Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Coastal Christian will face off against rival Cuyama Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
