Basketball Recap: Florence Skates Past Apache Junction with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Show Low, Florence was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Apache Junction Prospectors 62-26. Considering the Gophers' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

When it comes to explaining why Apache Junction lost, don't look at Isabella Winn. Despite the final result, she posted 18 points.

Florence's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Apache Junction, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Florence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-25 win against Globe on the 14th. As for Apache Junction, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 38-31 victory against Santa Cruz Valley on the 13th.
