Basketball Recap: Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte had won two straight games and Suni Bowman did her part to make it three on Friday. The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves strolled past the Pine Ridge Thorpes with points to spare, taking the game 72-57 which was due in part to Bowman, who dropped a double-double with 33 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Cheyenne-Eagle Butte's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tomi Moran, who posted five points and six boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (two).

The victory got Cheyenne-Eagle Butte back to even at 10-10. As for Pine Ridge, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6.

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-38 loss against Chamberlain on the 25th. As for Pine Ridge, they have also already played their next matchup, a 57-53 win against St. Francis Indian on the 25th.
