Basketball Recap: San Luis Sidewinders vs. Sierra Linda Bulldogs
San Luis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 64-35 loss at the hands of the Sierra Linda Bulldogs.
Sierra Linda found their leader in sophomore Johnell Wright, who posted 20 points. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for Wright. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Nduwayezu, who had 11 points.
San Luis' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sierra Linda, they moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
San Luis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-33 loss against Shadow Ridge on the 13th. Sierra Linda and Copper Canyon will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Copper Canyon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
