Baseball Recap: Sugar Valley Rural Comes Up Short

Sugar Valley Rural lost against Millville back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Phoenix came up short against the Quakers, falling 15-4.

Sugar Valley Rural saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryer Martin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Sugar Valley Rural's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5-1. As for Millville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Coming up, Sugar Valley Rural will host Columbia Montour Vo-Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.43 runs per game on average), something the Phoenix will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Millville, they will head out to challenge Sayre at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
