Football Game Preview: Grovetown Warriors vs. Newton Rams + How To Watch

The Grovetown Warriors will challenge the Newton Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Friday, Grovetown ended up a good deal behind South Gwinnett and lost 26-7. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Newton and Grayson have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. Newton was dealt a 50-3 defeat at the hands of Grayson. The matchup marked Newton's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Newton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Omarion Wallace and Braylon Miller. Wallace has been hot recently, having also posted at least one defended passe the last four times he's played.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Grovetown, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-3.

Grovetown was dealt a bruising 60-24 loss at the hands of Newton when the teams last played back in November of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Warriors were down 47-12.
