Volleyball Recap: Mariemont Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Mariemont entered their tilt with Finneytown on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Wildcats 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mariemont was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-13, 25-13.

Annie Tully paced Mariemont's offense, picking up 17 kills. Tully got some help from Elle Seichter and her 32 assists. Seichter was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Mariemont's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Finneytown, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Mariemont will venture away from home to challenge Madeira at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Finneytown, they will welcome Withrow at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
