Softball Recap: Sacred Heart-Griffin Triumphs

Sacred Heart-Griffin came out on top against Tri-Valley on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Cyclones walked away with a 6-2 win over the Vikings. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cyclones.

The victory got Sacred Heart-Griffin back to even at 7-7. As for Tri-Valley, they moved to 15-3-1 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Sacred Heart-Griffin will venture away from home to take on Jacksonville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cyclones' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crimsons have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Tri-Valley, they will take on Tolono Unity at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
