Soccer Game Preview: East Clarendon vs. Marion

The East Clarendon Wolverines will square off against the Marion Swamp Foxes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, East Clarendon turned things around against Timberland on Wednesday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Wolverines who were credited with the win. East Clarendon got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Timberland's three.

East Clarendon better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Marion's game on Tuesday is any indication, that's when Marion really gets things going. The Swamp Foxes put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 4-1 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Marion considering their one-goal performance the match before.

They hit East Clarendon with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Michael Mozeak (2), Diego Herrera, and Kelechi Kamsiyochukwu.

Marion has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-15 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four games. As for East Clarendon, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
