Recap: Whitehaven Tigers vs. AZ Compass Prep National Dragons

On Friday, Whitehaven was beaten by AZ Compass Prep National 81-51. While losing is never fun, Whitehaven can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 38th in Tennessee, while AZ Compass Prep National is ranked third in Arizona).

It was another big night for Jeremiah Fears, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and three steals for AZ Compass Prep National. That makes it four consecutive games in which Fears has scored at least 25% of AZ Compass Prep National's points. Vyctorius Miller was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Whitehaven and nudges their season record down to 10-6. As for AZ Compass Prep National, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
