Meanwhile, Cypress Bay posted their closest victory since September 21, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Cardinal Gibbons 2-1. The game was the first time the Lightning have beaten the Chiefs on their court since September 10, 2022.

Cypress Bay's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, their victory bumped their record up to 16-4.

St. Thomas Aquinas took their win against Cypress Bay in their previous meeting back in August by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Lightning have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
