Volleyball Recap: Foundation Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Foundation Academy can now relate to. They came up short against The First Academy Royals on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-16.

When it comes to explaining why Foundation Academy lost, don't look at Luna Dela Cruz. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs. Dela Cruz is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

The First Academy was led to victory by Kylie Beavers and Selah Kohler. Beavers had five aces and three digs, while Kohler had nine digs and three assists. Those five aces gave Beavers a new career-high.

Foundation Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 21-5. As for The First Academy, their victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5.

The First Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Trinity Catholic on the 16th. Hopefully Foundation Academy paid attention to the Royals' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Royals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
