Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Crosby's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Crosby won the last time they faced West Fork, and Romareya Lister did her part to make sure it happened again. The Crosby Cougars walked away with a 59-48 win over the West Fork Gators on Friday thanks in part to Lister, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. What's more, she also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Emony Destin, who posted 11 points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.

West Fork lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Nadia Camacho, who earned 14 points and six steals. Camacho is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Saniah White, who put up 16 points.

Crosby is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-15 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for West Fork, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-20.

Crosby wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 37-19 victory against Dayton on the 4th. West Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
