Volleyball Recap: Poudre Find Success + How To Watch

While Poudre's win against Greeley West wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Impalas narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Spartans 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Impalas have posted against the Spartans since September 13, 2018.

Poudre had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-27, 25-11, 25-20, 15-8.

Kylee Morris was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 33 digs. Those 33 digs gave her a new career-high.

Poudre was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Greeley West saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mya Salazar had 23 digs, four aces, and two blocks. Salazar also brought in his first hitting percentage of the season.

Poudre's record now sits at 3-1. As for Greeley West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Poudre wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Fort Collins on the 11th. As for Greeley West, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Ralston Valley on the 11th.
