Nathan Gonzales, Mira Monte's leading rusher, solidified his role on Friday. Gonzales made a splash, rushing for 100 yards and three scores on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 108 yards and one touchdown on only seven passes. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Del Oro back in October of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Gonzales' rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 18th straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Gonzales and Mira Monte will head out on the road to face off against Arvin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions had to take a loss when they last met the Bears, but Gonzales had little to do with the loss: he rushed for 133 yards, and also threw for one yards and one TD.
