Soccer Recap: Debbie Smith CTE Academy Takes a Loss

Debbie Smith CTE Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Tahoe Lakers. While losing is never fun, Debbie Smith CTE Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 61st in Nevada, while North Tahoe are ranked 15th in California).

Debbie Smith CTE Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7-3. As for North Tahoe, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 8-2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Debbie Smith CTE Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Tahoe at 4:00 p.m. on October 9. As for North Tahoe, they will challenge Churchill County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
