Basketball Recap: Columbia Central Comes Up Short

Columbia Central lost against Lumen Christi Catholic back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Columbia Central Golden Eagles fell 51-40 to the Lumen Christi Catholic Titans. The Golden Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Despite the loss, Columbia Central saw an underclassman step up: freshman Gabrielle Gaydosh posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Rylee Knapp, who earned seven points.

Columbia Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

Columbia Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-39 loss against Hanover-Horton on the 14th. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-45 defeat against Tecumseh on the 18th.
