Volleyball Recap: Newport Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Newport faced off against Ludlow on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-1 defeat on September 2nd.

Newport has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Ludlow, their win bumped their record up to 7-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Newport will head out to challenge Walton-Verona at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ludlow, they will face off against Bellevue at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
