Softball Recap: LEAP Academy Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Salem, LEAP Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Camden Panthers with a sharp 25-2 victory. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

LEAP Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.3 runs over those games. As for Camden, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LEAP Academy will head out to challenge Camden Academy Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. LEAP Academy is facing Camden Academy Charter at the right time seeing as Camden Academy Charter is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Camden, they will head out on the road to square off against Winslow Township at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
