Goldsboro meant business on Friday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Panthers squad that has allowed just 27.89 points per contest. The Goldsboro Cougars breezed past the North Johnston Panthers to the tune of 62-31. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Goldsboro's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aziyah Boyer, who went 10 for 18 on her way to 21 points and three blocks. Boyer is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Imari Buckom, who went 7 of 11 en route to 20 points.

Goldsboro was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Johnston only racked up six assists.

North Johnston's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Camden Ford, who posted four points and seven boards, and Samantha Boswell, who had four points and five rebounds.

Goldsboro's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points over those games. As for North Johnston, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-1.

Goldsboro has already played their next game, a 65-14 win against Spring Creek on the 11th. As for North Johnston, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-40 victory against Eastern Wayne on the 11th.
