Football Recap: Somerset Academy Takes a Loss

Somerset Academy fell victim to Central and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Rockets, falling 39-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 259th, while the Rockets are ranked fifth).

Somerset Academy's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-5. As for Central, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Coming up, Somerset Academy will venture away from home to take on Vero Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' defense has only allowed 11.7 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carol City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
