Football Game Preview: Harding Raiders vs. Washington Tigers

Harding hasn't had much luck against Washington recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Harding was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 7-3 to Cardinal Mooney. The contest marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washington). They were the clear victors by a 45-21 margin over Cornerstone Christian on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Washington and bumps their season record up to 5-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.5 points over those games. As for Harding, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Harding took a serious blow against Washington in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 45-14. Thankfully for the Raiders, Ja'Meir Gamble (who rushed for 152 yards and three scores on only ten carries, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
