Tallwood has gone 8-2 against Cox recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lions will square off against the Falcons at 4:00 p.m.

Last Thursday, Tallwood came up short against Princess Anne and fell 7-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cox). They put the hurt on Churchland with a sharp 16-6 victory on Thursday. With that win, the Falcons brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Chloe Vice was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Emmy Bowen was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.3 stolen bases per game. Olivia Peterson was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Cox always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Churchland only posted an OBP of .462.

Cox's record is now 4-2. As for Tallwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Tallwood came out on top in a nail-biter against Cox in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
