Softball Recap: River Falls' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

It was a proper cat-fight when River Falls faced off against Ellsworth on Thursday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 12-11. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

CATELYN MOE made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. MORGAN KIVEL was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Having lost for the first time this season, River Falls fell to 2-1. As for Ellsworth, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

River Falls has already played their next match, a 9-3 win against Baldwin-Woodville on the 4th. As for Ellsworth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-9 victory against Red Wing on the 4th.
