Basketball Game Preview: Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats vs. Creighton Bulldogs

The Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats will square off against the Creighton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest victory since February 9, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-40 win over West Holt. The 43-point effort marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alec Schindler led the charge by putting up eight points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. With that strong performance, Schindler is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Cheatum, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 14 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Creighton sidestepped Chambers/Wheeler Central for a 42-40 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Creighton's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard], their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0.

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] and Creighton were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] came up empty-handed after a 43-42 defeat.
