Basketball Recap: Liberty Tree Academy Comes Up Short

Liberty Tree Academy fought the good fight in their overtime match against Ascent Classical Academy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Ascent Classical Academy Guardians by a score of 33-31. The War Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty Tree Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Ascent Classical Academy, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Tree Academy will take on Kiowa at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ascent Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Poudre Community Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ascent Classical Academy is facing Poudre Community Academy at the right time seeing as Poudre Community Academy is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
