Softball Game Preview: Faith Christian Patriots vs. Lawrence Academy Warriors

Faith Christian is 0-3 against Lawrence Academy since April of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Patriots will host the Warriors at 6:00 p.m.

Things were looking good for Faith Christian after they put the first run on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wayne Christian.

Peyton Hagans spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Faith Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Skylar Powers, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Lawrence Academy had just enough and edged out Pamlico County 5-3 on Monday.

Lawrence Academy also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Clair Ferebee gave up three earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks.

Lawrence Academy's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Faith Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
