Volleyball Recap: Leigh Extends Home Winning Streak to 19

Leigh extended their postseason success on Thursday against Carlmont. They put the hurt on the Scots with a sharp 3-0 win. This was payback for the Longhorns, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory didn't come easy: Carlmont scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Aiden Sarin, who had 13 digs and one assist. That's the most digs he has posted over his last six matchups.

Leigh's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-8. As for Carlmont, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 24-16.

Coming up, Leigh will face off against Branham at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bruins will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Longhorns surely won't give up without a fight. Carlmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
