Volleyball Recap: Leigh Makes It 19 in a Row at Home

Leigh extended their postseason success on Thursday against Carlmont. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Scots. Winning may never get old, but the Longhorns sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

The victory didn't come easy: Carlmont scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.

Cooper Smith paced Leigh's offense, picking up 14 kills. Smith got some help from Eric Wu and his 32 assists. Finally, Smith was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Leigh's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-8. As for Carlmont, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 24-16 record.

Leigh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Branham on the 17th. Carlmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
