Recap: Wilson Magnet Wildcats vs. Rush-Henrietta Royal Comets
The Wilson Magnet Wildcats pushed their score all the way to 80 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 89-80 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rush-Henrietta. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (61), Wilson Magnet still had to take the loss.
Avery Council continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rush-Henrietta, dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. Council also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Taggart, who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds.
Wilson Magnet has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Rush-Henrietta, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilson Magnet will take on Churchville-Chili at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Churchville-Chili and three for Wilson Magnet. Rush-Henrietta won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Sutherland at 6:15 p.m. on December 29th.
