Game recap: Waukon High School Football Team bests Albia

ALBIA, Iowa - After three lead changes, Waukon (Iowa) took the lead for good when Parker Hesse ran for a two-point conversion with 10:00 remaining in the third quarter and held on to upset Albia (Iowa) 27-21 on Saturday.

The teams went into the locker room at halftime deadlocked at 13. The Indians took the lead for good on a two-point conversion in the third quarter.

Waukon was ahead by as much as 13 before the Blue Demons pulled closer.

The loss comes after Albia defeated Mediapolis 7-0 last week. The win brought Waukon's winning streak to four games.

AHS (12-1) will play a non-conference game against Lakeville South next week. The Cougars go into the week with a record of 7-4.
