Softball Recap: Norton Science & Language Academy Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Norton Science & Language Academy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They came up short against the San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions, falling 23-2.

Norton Science & Language Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yaretzi Castaneda, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Norton Science & Language Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Norton Science & Language Academy and San Jacinto Leadership Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Rockets see the field they'll take on Academy for Academic Excellence at 3:00 p.m. on March 9. As for San Jacinto Leadership Academy, their break will end when they face Desert Christian Academy at 3:15 p.m. on March 24.
