Basketball Recap: Friends Academy Quakers vs. North Shore Vikings

The Friends Academy Quakers came tearing into Monday's contest with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 68-50 victory over North Shore. That's another feather in the cap for Friends Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Friends Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joshua Alexander mckenzie, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jackson O'Brien, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Friends Academy pushed their record up to 15-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points per game. As for North Shore, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Friends Academy will be playing at home against the Golden Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lawrence is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. North Shore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
