Basketball Recap: Catoosa Takes a Loss

Catoosa lost against Hilldale back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Catoosa Indians came up short against the Hilldale Hornets, falling 48-25. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Hornets are ranked 137th).

Despite the loss, Catoosa still got an impressive performance from Jacquelyn Cornwell, who posted 13 points and six boards.

Catoosa has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Hilldale, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Catoosa will be taking part in a tournament against Tahlequah at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hilldale, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-36 defeat against Keys on the 21st.
