Basketball Recap: Fairview's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

If Fairview was riding high fresh off their 46-23 takedown of Lakewood last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles on Thursday. The Knights lost against the Golden Eagles in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 87-27 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Fairview lost, don't look at Chloe Hickory. Despite the final result, she shot 40% from the field en route to 14 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Hickory has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Violet Murra was another key player, putting up 11 points and eight rebounds.

Irika Suri was the offensive standout of the contest as she went 5-for-6 on her way to 12 points along with seven steals and five assists. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 60% shooting accuracy. Avenly Lewis also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fairview fell to 2-1. As for Mountain Vista, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Fairview has already played their next matchup (against Rock Canyon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mountain Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-41 loss against Broomfield on the 13th.
