Basketball Recap: Illinois C Comes Up Short

Illinois C was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 57-39 bruising from the Mid-Missouri HomeSchool Mavericks.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kyle Aulgur led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Aulgur has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaden Hayes, who went 8 of 17 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

Illinois C's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mid-Missouri HomeSchool, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-8.

Illinois C will challenge Northside L at 5:20 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Northside L is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.4 points per game this season. As for Mid-Missouri HomeSchool, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-41 win against Westlake Christian Academy on the 27th.
