Soccer Game Preview: Waccamaw vs. Westminster

The Waccamaw Warriors will square off against the Westminster Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Waccamaw will be strutting in after a victory while Westminster will be coming in after a loss.

Waccamaw's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Aynor 10-0. It was an even better day for Lilian Stratton as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Westminster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Oceanside Collegiate Academy, falling 3-0. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Westminster it sure didn't stay that way.

Waccamaw has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those four games. Westminster's loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
